The Mobile Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the holidays in Monroeville with Classical Christmas, Friday, December 15, 2023 at 7:30 PM at Coastal Alabama Community College's James D. Nettles Auditorium.
The Mobile Symphony is preparing for the triumphant return of renowned pianist and Van Cliburn gold medalist Olga Kern for the MSO’s season finale, May 9 and 10 at the Saenger Theatre. This final Classic concert of the 14-15 season—Russian Romance—features Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto, Glinka’s Overture to Ruslan and Ludmila, and Prokofiev’s first symphony.
The Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra (MSYO) will be joined by violinist Chee-Yun for the season finale concert. “Compelling, Charming, Charismatic – Chee-Yun”, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Saenger Theatre. “This has been an extraordinary year with the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra,” Dr. Robert Seebacher, MSYO music director said.
