General Overview:
As part of the Development Team, the Development Assistant plays a vital role in advancing the goals of the Donor Engagement Team. This role assists the Development Director to support Mobile Symphony’s fundraising efforts, including writing letters; helping plan special donor events; performing clerical duties and data entry; and helping with concerts.
Responsibilities:
– Provide assistance to the Development Director by providing support in the following areas:

- – Assist with planning donor events and parties
- – Assist with grants
- – Assist in direct mail campaigns/correspondence
- – Assist with data entry
- – Perform clerical duties as needed
- – Assist with concert duties as assigned
- – Perform other duties as assigned
– Interact with donors and board members and participate in fundraising events to develop and maintain relationships
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree
– Event planning experience
– Strong writing skills
– Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
– Consistent accuracy and attention to detail
– Ability to handle confidential information
– Proficiency in Mac and/or PC is required
– Experience with Excel is preferred
– Love for and some knowledge of music is preferred
– Must be available to work concert weekends and occasional evening events
Hours and Benefits:
