Bay Area Strings Community Orchestra
Robert J. Seebacher, Conductor
The Bay Area Strings Community Orchestra is an ensemble that helps fulfill the Mobile Symphony’s commitment to music education to all ages through out our community. BASCO is a string orchestra open to adult musicians with a basic knowledge of violin, viola, cello, or string bass. The ensemble is now in a partnership with the University of South Alabama that allows USA students to enroll in BASCO for credit.
There is no audition for section positions in BASCO. Rehearsals are held Thursday nights from 6 PM – 8 PM at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center on the campus of the University of South Alabama. Generally, the ensemble rehearses from mid-September to mid-May and performs up to three concerts at the University of South Alabama. For more information or to join BASCO, contact Conductor, Rob Seebacher, at 251-432-2010.
