We are currently searching for an experienced Patron Services Manager.
The Patron Services Manager functions as the first point of contact for patrons and manages both the box office and marketing functions for the Mobile Symphony. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, both oral and written. This position reports to the CEO and works closely with the CEO, and the marketing agency.
Responsibilities:
Box Office Duties – Provide front of line customer service and perform all duties regarding ticket sales operations:
- Develop relationships with patrons on a one-to-one basis; tend to ticketing and membership needs, resolve ticketing issues
- Ensure proper delivery of tickets as requested by patrons including the annual season ticket mailing
- Order ticketing supplies as needed
- Organize and perform in-house bulk mailings
- Data Entry
- Database experience
- Create and update events in Theatre Manager including:
- Updating and creating pricing maps
- Creation and implementation of sales promotions
- Provide annual sales projection of single and membership ticket sales; analysis of ticket pricing changes
- Track Student/USA/Big Red ticket sales
- Track box office expenses
- Resolve or notify IT/Artsman in order to resolve website/Theatre Manager issues
- Assist IT with Season Roll-over and Year-End Fiscal Roll-over
- Train new employees to use database
- Oversee and train concert weekend box office staff
- Update Constant Contact with new patron email addresses
- Provide concert day front of line customer service:
- Resolve ticketing issues at will-call
- Provide on-call assistance to box office staff
- Sell memberships or merchandise as available
Marketing Duties – Collaborate with advertising agency to develop and implement marketing campaigns:
- Develop and implement campaigns for memberships, concerts, and season
- Track marketing expenses and develop annual marketing budget
- Develop paid and organic social media campaigns for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Keep website up to date; knowledge of WordPress a plus
- Develop and deliver marketing report at board meeting
- Implement marketing campaigns, identify new avenues for ticket sales to various population segments and groups, develop mail lists for monthly postcard mailings
- Assist in design and sales of annual Beethoven & Blue Jeans t-shirts
- Approve designs for posters, banners and postcards for season and individual concerts
- Distribute posters and marketing materials for each concert
- Send out press releases
- Update community calendars
- Utilize database to provide various reports analyzing ticket sales, create mail lists, and provide additional information as requested by other departments
Volunteer Management
- Oversee annual volunteer training session
- Responsible for volunteer recruitment/communications for each concert
- Track volunteer participation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree, preferably in business
- High level of self-motivation and willingness to work hard
- A strategic thinker and problem solver
- Detail oriented
- Enthusiasm for interacting with customers on a daily basis
- Understanding and appreciation for the work of the organization
- Creative and analytical capabilities
- Ability to learn quickly and on the job, especially with unfamiliar technology
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Proficiency in MAC operating systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
HOURS and BENEFITS
- Full time Salaried
- 40 hours per week with comp time earned for off-hours events
